Chase Almen

CFO

Chase is the CFO at Variant, where he oversees the firm’s financial strategy, treasury, and asset valuation. He leads Variant’s institutional infrastructure and external partnerships, driving execution across tax, audit, lending, and fund administration.

Before joining Variant, Chase led the finance function at a private equity real estate firm with $1.5B in assets under management, overseeing the full financial lifecycle of its funds. He previously led accounting teams at private equity-backed companies and began his career in the audit practice at KPMG.

Chase is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in Business/Economics and Political Science from Wheaton College.
