Jack is an Investment Partner at Variant, where he works closely with early-stage founders on protocol design, governance architecture, and onchain go-to-market strategy.
Jack brings deep technical and operational experience to the role, having led teams across engineering, product, and growth at several crypto startups. He’s a full-stack builder who’s architected smart contracts, taken protocols through audit, and shipped applications. Before joining Variant, he founded Chroma, a modular lending protocol on Ethereum, where he navigated early product-market fit challenges, regulatory uncertainty, and the realities of competing in a token-driven landscape — lessons that now shape his approach as an investor.
Jack studied finance and computer science at Georgetown. He draws on his experience in high-stakes environments, from leading protocol teams to navigating DAO governance and security incidents, to help founders build durable, practical products in crypto.
