Salah is the Policy Lead at Variant, where he helps founders navigate the evolving policy landscape for blockchain technologies and digital assets. He brings deep expertise in legislative analysis and the policymaking process that shapes early-stage innovation in the United States and abroad.

Before Variant, Salah was Policy and Legislative Analysis Manager at the Blockchain Association, the leading trade group for the crypto industry in Washington, D.C. He advised member companies on federal legislation, built industry consensus on regulatory issues, and worked closely with Congress and federal agencies on digital asset policy. He played a central role in shaping industry responses to market structure and stablecoin legislation, and contributed to the passage of the GENIUS Act, the first federal crypto law enacted in the U.S.

Salah began his career researching cybersecurity policy, emerging technologies, and conflict medicine. He studied political science at the American University of Beirut.
