Tom is the Chief of Staff at Variant, where he supports the firm across a wide range of functional areas and strategic projects. He previously worked as a Senior Investment Associate at HarbourVest Partners, a global private markets investor, where he covered venture capital managers. In this role, he made investments in leading crypto-native venture funds and supported the growth and development of all web3 initiatives across the firm. Tom studied English & American Literature at Middlebury College and is a native New Englander. When he isn’t going on crypto deep dives, he likes practicing photography and being active outdoors — including trail running, gravel riding, backcountry skiing, and the occasional men’s league soccer match.
